Organ concert in the castle church in Schleiden.
Heinz-Peter Kortmann, organist at the Krefeld city church of St. Cyriakus, will be playing. In addition to works by Böhm, Buxtehude, Lübeck and Weckmann, Kortmann will also perform Bach's Passacaglia and his "Italian Concerto", which Kortmann himself arranged for the organ.
Heinz-Peter Kortmann studied Catholic church music in Aachen and then continued his studies in Paris and Utrecht. Between 1994 and 2011, he was cantor at St. Josef and Maria-Waldrast in Krefeld and artistic director. From 2011 to 2016, Kormann worked as a coordinating musician in the GDG Krefeld Nordwest and taught in the diocese of Essen and Aachen.
In 1998, Heinz-Peter Kortmann won a prize at the International Organ Competition in Nijmegen. Several CD recordings and his arrangements of various works have attracted great attention from music critics. Kortmann has played concerts as an organist and chamber musician in many European countries and the USA.
