We provide relevant location information, assist in the search for suitable commercial real estate, and guide you through every phase of the business setup process—in close partnership with the City of Schleiden’s administration. Another key component is our active town center management, aimed at revitalizing town centers. We connect companies interested in setting up shop with owners of vacant properties. This leads to new usage concepts that make our town centers vibrant, inclusive of all generations, and sustainable.

Projects by the GfW—which itself contributes to multifunctional use in the spirit of sustainable downtown development—demonstrate what this development can look like in practice. For example, we support cooperative cultural projects—such as the “Literature in the Café” series in collaboration with a young café operator—and organize our own cultural events, such as the Eifel Serenade at the KunstForumEifel.
These initiatives exemplify a creative, collaborative, and sustainable approach to shaping vibrant city centers.

New Uses, Attractive Starting Conditions: Together with the City of Schleiden, we bring property owners and new tenants together. Through the “Sustainable City Centers and Town Centers” funding program, retail spaces in Gemünd’s downtown area can be offered at significantly reduced rents, provided the property owners participate accordingly. → Learn about funding opportunities
