Bronsfeld

Bronsfeld has a population of about 560 and is located on the edge of the Dreiborn Plateau in the Eifel. Its open location on the high plateau shapes the landscape, which features vast fields, meadows, and rolling hills.

The surrounding area is predominantly agricultural and offers sweeping views of the Eifel landscape. 

Central gathering places in the village include the community center, the Catholic chapel, and facilities such as the playground and soccer field. Community life is strongly shaped by local clubs—in particular, the citizens’ association organizes festivals, traditions, and events that keep the sense of community alive in the village.

First mentioned in a document in 1322 as “Pruntzvelt,” Bronsfeld was independent for a long time before being incorporated into the town of Schleiden in 1972.

Bronsfeld is a quiet, hilltop village with a rural character, an active community, and sweeping views of the Northern Eifel landscape.
