Scheuren

Scheuren is situated on the ridge between Lamesberg, Heuberg, Wiesenberg, and Huppertsharth. The town is characterized by its open location and proximity to the countryside.

A special spot is the so-called “Tempelchen” on the Ohligsköpfchen. The striking tower is now a popular lookout point offering sweeping views of the Schleiden Valley and the surrounding hills.

In the village itself, a Catholic chapel and the community center serve as central gathering places. The chapel is transformed into a unique “light experience church” through a light and sound installation, allowing visitors to experience the space in a new way. North of Scheuren flows the Höddelbach stream, connecting the hilltop village with the surrounding nature.
