A completely different hiking experience awaits guests on the stargazing tour “The Lord of the Rings Meets the Moon.”

Far from the lights of big cities, the Eifel Star Landscape offers a breathtaking view of the natural night sky. Accompanied by a trained starguide, you’ll embark on a fascinating journey through the night. Participants will discover constellations and planets and learn—in an entertaining and informative way—how stars are formed, why we’re made of “stardust,” and what stories lie behind the celestial scenes. The nocturnal wildlife and the effects of light pollution are also part of this two-hour experience. You’ll explore the universe with the naked eye, binoculars, and a large telescope. In this way, the tour uniquely combines a nature experience with astronomical knowledge.
