A meditative-spiritual offer for all those who would like to be convinced of the many possibilities of this innovative spiritual offer. The church is particularly suitable as a stopover during a hike or cycle tour as a place of peace and reflection.

In future, a new media-based church system will offer a comprehensive range of services for locals and tourists seeking peace, reflection and encouragement in a church space. An interactive touch terminal is located at the entrance area, allowing individual use of an inspiring light and audio system. Visitors can select a theme, text or music on the monitor, which is then staged with impressive light and sound effects. In this way, everyone can create, try out and experience a personal meditation.

This offer is aimed at anyone who is looking for inspiration, who wants to take a little time and peace, or who is simply curious. The "Experience Church" project group in the Hellenthal/Schleiden pastoral area took the initiative for the LightExperienceChurch.

The project was financed by the Bishop Hemmerle Foundation in Aachen. The LightExperienceChurch has a unique selling point in the diocese of Aachen. Thanks to the great voluntary commitment of many people involved, the realization became a joint project. The chapel is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
