In 2026, the Eifelverein Gemünd, in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Wirtschaft, Tourismus und Veranstaltungen mbH Schleiden, will once again offer its popular health hikes.

Health Hiking combines easy hikes with effective exercise and relaxation exercises, as well as the sharing of health-related knowledge. The goal is to incorporate more physical activity into everyday life—and this works especially well in a group of like-minded people.

The hikes are led by certified health hiking guide Elke Griskewitz and are a recognized program of the German Hiking Association. Each session lasts about 90 minutes. Health hiking offers an ideal opportunity to be active while enjoying nature.

Health walks will not take place in the event of thunderstorms, storm warnings, or prolonged heavy rain.
