On this varied circular hike, experience the charming landscape around Schleiden with its rolling hills, stream valleys, and magnificent views. The tour begins at the historic Pont-l’Abbé Tower, which once served as a fire department’s ladder tower. Right at the start, the trail leads up to Schleiden Castle, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. You’ll then hike along nature trails through forests and alongside idyllic streams. The varied landscape continually rewards you with sweeping panoramic views of the Eifel hills and stream valleys. A special highlight is the “Tempelchen” Eifel viewpoint, which offers a breathtaking view of Schleiden and the surrounding Eifel.
