Frühwanderung Op Platt

Another special highlight awaits hiking enthusiasts: experienced hiking guide Georg Gerhards will lead participants across the picturesque Dreiborn Plateau while introducing them to the unique Eifel dialect.

During the roughly three-hour hike, participants will experience the diverse and colorful landscape of the Northern Eifel. Georg Gerhards will point out points of interest along the way in his own language—the regional Dreiborn dialect, known as “Drommer Platt.” There’s also fascinating information about Dreiborn Castle and its eventful history.
Afterward, there’s an opportunity to stop for refreshments together at Café Kupp in Dreiborn. There, you can further discuss your impressions of the hike with Georg Gerhards—in the local dialect or in Standard German.
Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are required for all hikes. Drinks and light snacks are recommended.
