Ausstellung: Überreste, Erinnerungen und Erzählungen − Was vom Luftkrieg übrig b

On the day of the open monuments, visitors can first visit the new permanent exhibition on the topic of aerial warfare in Vogelsang.

The new permanent exhibition questions how aerial warfare came to the region surrounding the exhibition site. Extraordinary objects from the collection of the AG Luftkriegsgeschichte Rhein/Mosel e. V. offer visitors different perspectives on aerial warfare between 1939 and 1945.

The scientifically curated permanent exhibition is the result of voluntary engagement in collaboration with established institutions from the region. In particular, the Institute for Regional Studies and Local History of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland (LVR), Vogelsang IP, and the Museum Zitadelle Jülich support the project. The scientific planning was financed through funding programs of the LVR. Funding from the LEADER region Eifel and the NRW Foundation now allows for the start of the initial phase, during which the exhibition is accessible to visitors and the educational work gradually begins.

Open tours take place at 11.00 a.m., 1.00 p.m., and 3.00 p.m.
