The tour takes you through beech forests with majestic tree giants and historical charcoal burning sites. You will gain a first impression of the emerging wilderness in the Eifel National Park. From the viewpoint Hirschley, you have a fantastic view over the Rursee and the forests that reach all the way to the shore. The approximately three-hour hike (about 5 kilometers) leads over level and solid paths through the barrier-free nature experience area Wilder Kermeter. It is thus suitable for people with and without disabilities as well as for strollers.

Hearing-impaired guests can borrow a mobile hearing amplifier if they register in advance. Otherwise, no registration is required for the free tours. We ask that larger groups of 10 or more people announce themselves in advance at 02444/9510-0.

The ranger tour takes place every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

• From Cologne, Bonn, Trier, Euskirchen, Schleiden, Kall: Travel by public transport to Gemünd Mitte, Schleiden. From there, take bus 231 (direction Heimbach) at 12:45 PM and get off just 13 minutes later at the Wilder Kermeter stop. Departure is possible at 4:27 PM. Please inform the ranger on site about your planned departure time.
