Bilderausstellung „Erzählungen vom Wald“
Mar 4, 2026 - Apr 12, 2026
Schleiden
The painter Kirsten Treis showcases colorful images at the Eifel National Park Center that tell stories of the forest.
She lives in Bonn, close to the large forest conservation area of Kottenforst, where many of her walks lead. Fleeting everyday moments observed on excursions form the basis of her vivid works. Some of her findings could also originate from the Eifel. Fresh spring forest scenes tempt and the first heralds of the approaching spring bloom in vibrant colors. The paintings range from representational to more abstract, from realistic to composed. Above all, they invite you to take a closer look. For these images are only clearly discernible at first glance. Time and again, Kirsten Treis captures seemingly trivial details, creating new focal points. She is fascinated by the beauty of the moment when light creates sunspots and the insignificant suddenly comes into focus. The painter appreciates the light, watercolor-like quality of acrylic paints and plays with the transition between representation and abstraction. Step back for a moment as well. You will find: Those who engage with these images can get lost in them while simultaneously feeling the magic of the moment.
3% of the proceeds from a painting sale are donated by the painter to nature conservation projects.
